A fine tradition of employee ID cards
Humbly based in Vernon Hills, IL, Zebra was first incorporated in 1969 as Data Specialties, Inc. Its focus (and its name) changed in the mid 1980's, becoming Zebra Technologies Corp. and concentrating on specialty on-demand labeling and ticketing systems. In 1991, it became a publicly traded company under the symbol ZBRA. Now, it's a global provider of employee ID cards and systems. All printers are manufactured stateside in its Illinois headquarters or its Camarillo, CA facility. Zebra also maintains facilities in Wisconsin, Rhode Island, California, and Preston, England. All of Zebra's design and manufacturing sites for employee badges are compliant with the ISO 9000 international standard for quality management. In Europe, Zebra Technologies oversees sales and support offices in France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates. Miami-based Zebra Technologies Latin America, LLC is the headquarters for Latin American operations, overseeing sales and support offices in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Zebra Technologies Asia Pacific, LLC, is based in Singapore and oversees offices in China, Japan, South Korea, and Australia.
